Project Introduction

Gerardo’s Toys is an Estonian company designing and selling different brands of children’s toys. The international brand name is Gerardo’s Toys, with sub-brands such as My First Jumpy, Little Rocker, Jumpy Fruits, and also the brand Wroow. 

The toys are sold worldwide through different sales channels, including wholesale, e-commerce and retail. The products can be found at big retail stores. Gerardo’s Toys signed in 2020 a license agreement with Warner Bros.

In 2020, Gerardo’s Toys set up a manufacturing facility in Estonia, equipped with modern production technology that is flexible and allows the production of innovative and high-quality products.

Involvement of Horsten International

From mid-2022 onwards Horsten performed the following services to Gerardo’s Toys:

• Analyze the general market situation of the toy sector in China.
• Competitive analysis of foreign and domestic players in China. Screening their strategies and online and offline sales channels.
• Research about the regulatory situation in China: trademarks, regulations, taxes, etc.
• Provide a value chain analysis.
• Give general strategic advice and recommendations to Gerardo’s Toys.
• Screening the social media landscape in China and possible e-commerce platforms for Gerardo’s Toys’ products.
• Set-up of a WeChat official account
• Assistance with the participation to an exhibition in Hong Kong en Beijing (see link)
