Project Introduction

Oystershell Laboratories is a Belgian pharmaceutical company specialized in the innovation of consumer healthcare products and especially OTC products. The company develops and sells non-prescription pharmaceuticals, medical devices, insect protection, cosmeceutical and nutritional products. In recent years, Oystershell also started selling its own selfcare brands and developing its international business, including the USA and Asia. Since China is a huge potential market, the country is considered one of Oystershell’s key strategic markets.

Involvement of Horsten International

In 2020 Horsten performed a market research and strategic analysis, focusing on selling Oystershell’s products on the Chinese market through E-commerce. Also a competitive analysis was done and the regulatory situation in China was investigated. At the end of the project a detailed report was issued with a recommended go-to-market strategy.
