Project Introduction

Datwyler is a multinational company with headquarters in Switzerland, manufacturing sealing solutions and technical components with over 5000 employees and 14 globally distributed production locations. The company is active in different business sectors (automotive, health care, civil engineering and consumer goods).

The headquarter of the pharmaceutical division of the Datwyler group is based in Belgium and was previously called Helvoet Pharma. Datwyler is already exporting its special rubber vial stoppers and syring plungers to China for more than 10 years, recently they incurred some regulatory issues. The company was seeking for assistance and guidance for these regulatory issues. At the same time strategic advise was needed with regard to the company’s long-term plans for China.

Involvement of Horsten International

Horsten International performed an in-depth investigation about the regulatory issues and, after some meetings with regulatory agencies and authorities in Beijing, Horsten advised the customer how to improve the communication and prepared a corrective action plan.

At the same time strategic advise is given with regard to the long term strategy of the company in view of its business development and corporate strategy for the fast developing Chinese market.
