Project Introduction

The customer is a Belgian manufacturer of highly specialized stainless steel products, mainly to filter companies, (petro)chemical reactor building companies and for architectural purposes. The company was already exporting to China for some years and in order to safeguard the existing business in China on the long term, develop additional business in the fast developing Chinese market and look at opportunities to also export products made-in-China to the company’s European customers, the customer considered to set up a manufacturing workshop in China.

Involvement of Horsten International

Horsten assisted the company to prepare a feasibility study of starting a manufacturing workshop in China. Different alternative options were analyzed and, based on the customer’s conditions and requirements, some recommendations were formulated to guarantee a step-by-step, risk free and profitable operation in China, including a strategic advise for a legal set-up.
