Project Introduction

Spectricity develops and manufactures spectral sensing solutions using CMOS technologies. These solutions are designed for high-volume production and use in consumer and mobile devices. The company was incorporated in 2018, and is backed by venture capital. Its work builds on an exclusively-licensed patent portfolio from imec, a world-leading R&D and innovation hub in nano-electronics and digital technologies.

Involvement of Horsten International

In view of Spectricity’s ambitions in China, an analysis was performed by Horsten International with regard to the need and requirements for a potential set-up of a legal entity in China.

Additionally, Horsten registered Spectricity’s trademark in China, and – through its marketing division MyChinaWeb – set up Spectricity’s WeChat account.
