Project Introduction

Signpost is a European ICT hardware partner for education, a market leader in Belgium and fast growing in other European countries. They are a trusted name in supplying and maintaining laptops, Chromebooks and hardware in schools.

Their mission is to provide inclusive learning environments by providing high-quality hardware designed for the education sector. Signpost believes in empowering every student and educator with the tools they need to succeed. Their devices are chosen with the education sector in mind and crafted for students who are always on the move.

Considering Signpost’s recent growth and their ambitious growth plans, Signpost is looking for a partner to help with the sourcing of laptop components and spare parts from China. Additionally, other strategic options for China should be taken into consideration in the future.

Involvement of Horsten International

Horsten assisted Signpost with the preparation of a China trip and the translation of corporate documents into Chinese. We supported Signpost with the translation, guidance and practical arrangements during their trip. One of our Chinese project managers helped Signpost with arranging meetings with different potential Chinese suppliers and performed supplier screenings.

Another China trip was made a few months later, again supported by the Horsten project manager. Today Signpost and Horsten still work together for sourcing and supply chain management from China.
