The client is a Belgian family-owned manufacturer of high-end sport socks. For many years the company had a factory in Belgium, but it was closed down in the late nineties. Since 2000 a factory was built in Poland and starting from 2006 a joint venture was set up in Thailand.
In 2012 the company set up a joint venture with their preferred supplier in China, which resulted in a huge boost in production capacity, as well as an increase in range and variety of available products. The customer planned to recruit a local full-time sourcing and QC manager in order to improve the supply chain and communication between the Chinese supplier and the Belgian headquarter.
Today Geropa is present with sales in Europe, USA and in a few countries in South-East Asia.
Involvement of Horsten International
Horsten assisted the customer by preparing a job profile and arranging the recruitment process, including the collection of resumes, screening and interviewing potential candidates and helping the customer in the labor contract negotiations and other HR matters.
